Pidge has never been big on outdoor or nature-related activities. Which might be why her first response to plunging into chilly water is to splutter and flail a bit. Fortunately, her time in worlds not her own has been good to her. She's learned to swim just enough to avoid a prematurely watery grave. By the time she pulls herself atop one of the nearby jellyfish, she's muttering slightly under her breath.
It's occurred to her that there's something slightly sketchy about this scenario. She's obviously not home and it's doubtful that this is Lunatia. It feels different, for one thing. Later, when she's joined the other newbies, she's one of the ones lingering in the back. Better to hang back and get an idea of how the people ahead of her plan on tackling that cliff.
The Red Spring
What are the odds of being dragged into a second world expressly to try and save it? Pidge is pretty skeptical about all of this. Why her, specifically? What is it about her that taps her for this sort of nonsense?
She's also not big on the idea of meeting her randomly-assigned roommate just yet, and so she's camped out in the spring. It had been empty when she'd arrived so she'd snagged a spot in the corner. Her towel and clothes are folded neatly atop her shoes nearby. The water is blissfully warm and so she's had no issue with sinking in up to her chin.

"Well, this is new..."
Perhaps she should've paid a bit closer attention when they were explaining her new magical abilities. As it is, she's been fortunate enough to avoid being grabbed by the shambling menace.
Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to allow her the ability to make herself faster just might be her new favorite person, however. She'd discovered it by accident, of course. But now that she has worked it out, Pidge is absolutely going to be taking advantage. The horde of undead are moving rapidly enough to still pose a threat; this just means she'll have to be careful. Fortunately, she'd managed to grab her bayard from the shit box. Unfortunately, it seems to have been demoted to a fancy knife... but that's all she needs at the moment. Any zombie who gets too close will be treated to a rapid-fire flurry of slashes.
It's still just a fancy knife, though, so she might need a bit of assistance in actually taking them out.
