"Oh...Yeah, I guess it's pretty standard. Um. Hm." Now she's got him thinking about standard greeting rituals. Why is a handshake so universal, even beyond human societies? It seems kind of weird now that he thinks about it. There's a lot of social etiquette regarding touching people, and specifically NOT touching people. Why is it okay to deliberately touch someone upon first meeting them when in pretty much every other context it's considered polite to keep physically distant?

Daisy, meanwhile, is unbothered by this conversation and unaware of Griffin's latest internal crisis. While Allura mutters to herself, she does a little stretch and a little reach, and pats at Allura's still outstretched hand with one of her pedipalps. There. Contact made. We have now been Introduced. Allura may pet her now, if she so desires.

"Ah! Sorry, I just realized, I got so sidetracked I didn't ask your name. Mine's Griffin." He already told it to her once, but they were both so immediately distracted by spiders that it seems like a reasonable step to repeat it.
