To be honest, it's unsettling to hear Kainé talk about
giving in to death.
Had she wanted to die? Satoko can't imagine what that must feel like, and how much pain she must've experienced to end up that way... But the person who convinced her to go on - surely that person must have been important. But to have forgotten them entirely - how could that have happened? Did something happen that was so traumatic that her brain tried to bury the memories away?
Satoko doesn't even know if that's possible. Still, there's one thing she's sure of.]
I don't know why you would forget them... but I think that that person must've been precious to you. After all, you were crying for them, weren't you?
