"Well, it couldn't hurt to try, I guess." Hesitating for a moment, she placed the handle of the hammer down on the ground, then closed her eyes to try and focus.

The only problem was that she didn't entirely know what she was doing. How did someone curse another person? Weren't there incantations for things like that? Or hand gestures? Or was it just based on a feeling?

Thinking about these things didn't help her much with trying to come up with a specific curse. However, the effort to try and concentrate did send a slight ripple through her shadow.
