Because just as his hypothesis had him hoping for, one of the Cliff Beast's hands is well-practiced and catches the boy gently. He lands with a thud and a loud oof, then sits back up with the most ecstatic, gratified grin ever and his arms raised triumphantly in the air, and shouts back up to Laphicet laughingly with a big whoop. ]
