Character Name: Jade Canon: Dragon Quest XI Info: Jade is a princess who has been on the run (and thought dead) since she was a small child thanks to her kingdom falling into the grasp of a sorcerous Big Bad who decided it would be cool to take her father's place on the throne. As a result, she doesn't tend to act like someone who's been raised in a palace, and has instead spent her years hunting for the truth of what's going on in her homeland while forging herself into a weapon with rigorous training. While she has a lot of pent-up aggression, she makes an effort to channel it into useful outlets and spends a lot of her time pitching in with various quests and, of course, tirelessly training to keep herself in top physical shape as well as working on mastering her magic. She has a lot of conflicting feelings about being given both Dark and Blood magic, and while they're useful tools, she's questioning what it says about her that she was granted these particular "gifts."
Otherwise, she's actually quite friendly and quick to take on the role of being a Big Sister sort of friend! While she can be reserved at times because of her initial royal upbringing, she's warm and playful with those she feels comfortable with, and often eager to lend a hand wherever she can, being a shonen sidekick and all. She currently makes her living doing quests as well as working in the kitchen (and occasionally as security) at Shining Star Karaoke.
Magics & Familiar: Dark & Blood, and her familiar is a flirtatious Succubat named Bella.
Desired CR: Friendship is always a plus; she's spent a lot of her life pretty lonely and has been enjoying the opportunity to put down roots and get to know a wider range of people, even if the circumstances are less than ideal. I would love to get her more involved with people at work (Shining Star), and questing buddies are always welcome, especially as she's lost some of her go-to partners. Romance is currently complicated, and she is shoving it to the side in the interest of focusing herself on things she deems more productive.
Known Plans: Currently taking it easy this month and seeing what the event will offer later on, but for quests, Jade will be interested in Invasive Species and be focused on trying to get that done in a way that is effective but humane. She's also very concerned about the hunting of animal mages, given that she's friends with a few, and the idea of hunting other people is absolutely abominable, so if there are any animal mages that need some protection this month, she'll be quick to offer it.
