[Venti isn't at all a new comer to this world by now. He's been here for quite a few months. And in those long months he's gotten the habit of doing a lot of people watching when they start to appear in the lake water near the beginning of each month. It's quite the common pattern, he's noticed.
This one is an interesting one. A man with some sort of large hooved creature for a familiar. He doesn't lift a hand to help the man out of the water only sitting on a rock nearby as it all happens.
But as Venti heads back up the stairs and gets promptly bumped into he might feign a little wobbliness!]
