Ah, now that is his cue! Ardyn strolls back a little, unsheathes his blade... and then turns and runs, following the path the Anthropophage had taken as though he's been chasing them - and with the distance he has to cover it should leave him winded enough to contribute to the deception.
"Watch out!"
He calls out as he turns the corner at a run, wild-eyed, sword drawn and breath heavy. His eyes dart between Emet-Selch and the screaming Anthropophage, trying to dislodge itself from the spike and swiping at Emet at the same time. Ardyn's face twists in distaste and he raises a hand, drawing his blade across it and then shooting the blood at the creature's face like one would a dart. As it screams again, distracted by the new pain, he steps forward quickly and thrusts his sword forward, running the fae through.
"Best not to give them any quarter," he says, turning to Emet, a frown of concern on his features. "Are you alright?"
emet just can't make good life choices huh
