When Klaudia arrives at the inn, what she expects is a very subtle sort of stealth mission. They sneak up to the window, take a peek, don't get seen, and assess from there. No fighting. That was the plan! Upon arriving, the plan is already awry because there are multi-color flashing lights pulsing from the window that she knows to be their target.
Okay, maybe it hasn't exactly gone awry, but that is a certain kind of way to start this endeavor. Should it be some kind of omen? Who knows. She gives Wei Wuxian, her partner in crime, a sideways look... and then a shrug. She literally has no idea what is going on up there, but they're about to find out. "Keep a lookout for me," she tells him. "I'll wave you up when I'm done."
The window they need is on the second floor, so Klaudia sneaks her way up to the wall and pulls out a piece of chalk from her bag. It would be nice if there was an easier way to do this part, but there simply isn't. She draws a series of small chalk circles with the same alchemic formation in each one. With each tap, a wooden peg juts out from the side of the inn, giving them hand and footholds to scale the wall. Just under the window, she leans out to make a larger circle--a narrow ledge forming a moment later. She then climbs onto that, staying ducked down below the edge of the window, and makes a quick motion to Wei Wuxian to follow.
Once they're both up here, then they can assess the situation inside.
