[honestly, Hanguang Jun's mostly complete lack of verbal addition to this conversation is to be expected--if Nie Huaisang thinks about it, that scans for almost any and all situations that he's involved in. No, the way to understand his intentions has always been through subtle action; something Nie Huaisang found intimidating as a child and teenager, and admittedly still does now. He isn't, however, stupid, as much as he is deliberately playing the fool now. Everything about how Hanguang Jun reacts to this person--putting a hand on her shoulder, introducing her--she's obviously important to him. Which is saying quite a lot in and of itself, considering that, as far as Nie Huaisang has ever been able to tell, the people that Hanguang Jun cares about encompass his family and Wei Wuxian.
