And then in middle of near drowning, the mysterious woman had come and saved his life and suddenly a strange turtle had helped him ashore and well yes, dream or not, it was still absurd.
And then Joshua had sat down, because his leg was killing him and he was soaked through his layers of clothes and his mind was reeling, trying desperately to catch up, wondering where his family was in all of this.]
Definitely not dreaming, but perhaps I am mad...
[He whispered to himself and then he glances at you, whoever you are and sighs.]
I suppose you shall tell me this is all real though.

[He's still not sure how he came to be in this situation, but Joshua has decided to accept it, as he does most misfortunes that happen to him. He's even accepted his familiar, a strange black horse that seems to be able to change size. Right now it's the size of a small house cat, likely so that it could fit in the carriage with Joshua. Either way, they're both enjoying the warmth while Joshua decides to puzzle over this "smartphone" he is now in possession of.
If you look like one of the technologically savvy, he'll hand it over asking for help. Otherwise, you can both fail at using it together.]
The telephone my Father owns is so much bigger than this. It's easier to use at least.

[Joshua is a bit skeptical that he actually has any magic, but with everything else that's happened today, he should keep an open mind. Besides, how else is he going to get by in this world? He can't exactly go into battle, not with his leg being what it is.
He's been trying a few different hand gestures feeling a bit silly. Until he snaps his fingers and a very bright flash bursts out. One that not only blinds him, but anyone nearby who happened to be glancing in his direction.]

For the sake of this tdm, he's going to be using light magic and his familiar will be a kelpie that will take the appearance of a tiny, black horse. Also it should be noted that he does walk with the assistance of a cane.
