When is Magnus ever one to pass up an opportunity to visit an outdoor spring? Certainly not now, certainly not ever. After spending his early hours dealing with soaking wet travelers who arrived via turtle, he thinks he's earned a little rest and relaxation, especially since he hadn't found a single familiar face among the new arrivals. Fancy that.
Honestly, it had all gone rather expectedly (i.e. poorly), so a bit of wine and a two-hour soak is just what- ...his mind comes to a screeching halt as he spots a familiar shape. Or pair of shapes really -both man and man's purported best friend (his recently acquired pet cat would probably have way too many objections to the phrase).
Anyway, he's so busy trying to convince himself he's not so homesick that he's actually hallucinating his boyfriend is in a nice and quiet spring with him and petting an adorable dog, he forgets to actually say something productive. Come to think of it, he's had some very nice dreams that started out this way, so maybe he should actually try convincing himself he's not asleep at the moment, which wouldn't be entirely out of the question given how tired he'd been just moments ago.
"I am just going to walk right back out that door and come back in again. If you're still standing there with a dog, I'm never waking up again."
Please tell him this is real because he's ready to hug the life out of one very ruffled and confused Shadowhunter at the moment.
red spring;
