A: Soaking in Your Arrival

It wasn't that she disliked swimming, it really wasn't! It was that she didn't like swimming in water that was trying really hard to form ice on the top of it. So by the time she got to shore she was already annoyed, and seemed to only get more and more so as she argued with one of the local turtles that kept following her with a hoodie.

"It's not mine!"

The fox spirit floating by her head cackled, swirled around her once, then appeared to whisper in her ear.

The girl wrinkled her nose before crossing her arms and replying with even more annoyance. "It's not though!"

Perhaps an outsider could help with this most... Silly of arguments.

B - The Caravan to Camelot

Whether the girl got help with her turtle problem or not she ends up wearing the hoodie around her waist by the time she's in the back of the caravan with everyone else. As she huddles up in her winter cloak she can't help but look around, taking in all of the faces she can, trying to memorise them.

As she gazes at the others, her fox spirit, deciding to be more corporeal than on the beach, jumps into the lap of another passenger. As it sits there it begins to preen itself delicately, without regard to what either person involved wants.

The girl in turn crosses her arms and looks to the other passenger. "If you push him off roughly I won't blame you."

The fox spirit gives an inhuman cackle, as if this is all so very funny to it.

C - The Red Spring

For a few hours before bed the child can be seen running the obstacle course. Despite it being more habitable for taller people she manages it with what appears to be practice. Climbing, tumbling, moving hand after hand where there are ropes to traverse, she seems almost like she's in her element.

As she goes from one part of the course to another a bird flies ahead of her, circling and examining the coming obstacles before flying back and circling her head. Perhaps there's something to that?

By the end of the night though, whether someone interrupts her training or not, she's bathed and made her way into the inn room. She looks around and notices her room mate. She's silent for a moment, then opens her mouth.

"I'm Ha-.. I'm Ruby." For all she'd looked at home on the obstacle course she now looks incredibly awkward, shifting her weight under the too-large backpack on her shoulders.
