She'd understood him though, and it wasn't difficult to follow her simplified explanation either- a similar life might have been led in his home world years ago, but they'd moved on from adventuring and quests to hiring mercenaries and investing further into technology. Her scar doesn't catch his immediate notice though, the markings adorning her face a little distracting despite the time he'd spent around other animal like people with similar features.
Everyone already knew about his after Quistis had so helpfully reminded the whole class not to slice up training partners and after that... no one had ever really cared much about another guy with another scar that wasn't even all that interesting outside of being right there in the middle of his face.]
