[This is not the first time Niki thought he was going to die, and it definitely won't be the last, but the whiplash from being onstage one moment to literally drowning(?!) the next is way too much for his heart (and his stomach) to handle. After being rescued by some small octopus friends and choking up some water, Niki is glad to be alive, but the relief doesn't last long as other worries start creeping up on him. Ah, his clothes are soaked... He hopes they aren't ruined. And more importantly...

⬡ arrival ⬢ b. [Thanks to the carriage's anti-Niki measures (the mini-bar), Niki is no longer starving and all little critters and otherwise are safe. Less preoccupied by what he might need to eat (for now), he looks over the phone he's been given for any sign of something familiar, but every once in a while, he ends up looking back at his original phone, too.
He already knows there aren't going to be any messages, but... He sighs.]
Rinne-kun's probably dead in a ditch somewhere. [He laments to himself, though he doesn't sound especially concerned about it. (He is, but...)
