He looks like a lot of the animals I've seen here. He's been helpful, though, so I wager he's harmless to us.

[ He has no way to know for sure what canines are like on places other than his home. He assumes...similar enough. Maybe dumber, he guesses. ]

If they're helping, that's all you can ask for. I wonder if they even can hurt you.
