She should be freaking out by now, and really, a part of her was. One second ago she was snuggled into her sleeping bag wondering how she was going to get home, the next thing she knows, she is definitely NOT in the boiling Isles or home, instead she's gasping and doggy paddling her way out of the water and staring out into a strange new world.
In other words, deja vu, she was the new girl in a strange world. Again. she was scared, sure, but she's a very different Luz Noceda than the one that first stumbled into a strange new world. There was a LOT to see, and scared as she was, all of these strange new folk were new and mysterious to her. She couldn't help but want to talk to them and find out what was happening. At least, to her delight, Owlbert was with her! She was so stunned to find this out she fell off the cliff she was clambering up, and was luckily brought right back up.
"Ok, Owlbert. We can do this. Don't need to ask a million questions, no freaking out this time! It's you and me and...all these other people, brought for some strange new purpose! Yeah! We can do this, probably!"
FRESH UP
Luz didn't know about anyone else, but she sure didn't want to make a bad impression. She already had a chance to take a look at some of the people that showed up and, frankly, she probably was one of the least impressive looking of them. She could have sworn she was looking at some people straight out of an anime. There were actual animal people here. ANIMAL PEOPLE! And here she was, doofy little Luz with her cat hoodie (luckily she hadn't seen any cat people, didn't want to mistakenly insult anyone there) and they had said something about learning magic here.
"Did Eda send me here to try and get me a better education Owlbert?" She inquired of her little companion, who seemed to indicate he was as mystified as she was. "No, huh? So they're probably not lying about being brought here for missions?"
Ok then, totally making sure she was washing her hair then. No way that salt water was good settling there.
FLIM FLAMMED!
"Argh! I knew it was too good to be true!"
Ok, so she didn't know that, which was annoying, but now she was dirty, had straw sticking out of her hair, had scuffed up knees and her hands were scratched up. All she had was a little money and a noodle strainer. If you come upon the tired girl, you'll see her little familiar nuzzling her sympathetically as she grumbled about false promises and warm beans.

"Okay, thanks mysterious hand!"
