A former researcher turned school counsellor, Maruki is here to provide you with all the tools you need to achieve happiness even in the face of major trauma. He's a well-meaning, kind soul with a tendency to be clumsy even while trying his best. He's the kind of guy who gets scratched up rescuing a cat from a tree and thinks it's fine. Or lends money out and only realises it was a scam after a 16 year old points it out.
He's also a bit of a Persona 5 Royal spoiler, but I think you get the idea of what kind of person he is from those very real examples.
He'd get Hastur as a familiar, but I am stumped on the type of magic, as I can see reasons to give him Cognitive, Healing and Light magic. I am also uncertain about canon point, and whether to bring him before the end of his Confidant with Joker, or around 12/24.
