( there are a lot of notes in Maruki's hands right now as he stands outside his new home. he's taken the time to write down all the information he could find about this ritual, complete with (not entirely great) drawings of each required plant.
this is strange, but some back home would say that the research he dedicated himself to was also strange, and so there's no reason to approach this task with any amount of scepticism. he would assume that anyone in this world has far more idea of how to deal with this problem than he does right now. )

Hi. I'm new to the area and...
I probably shouldn't start my posts like that, huh? This place must get a lot of them.
Well. Anyway. I want to learn more about magic and its applications, and to do that, I'd like to know how the magic in this world is different from the magic in your own.
