Such an intense gaze meeting eye to eye would have unsettled most people, but not Juuzou. He wasn't fussed one way or another. Shigaraki was right to assume that the manatee wasn't being hurt, only inconvenienced. Juuzou was very capable of being vicious but there really was no sense in attacking such a docile creature... Even if he was curious about its insides. He couldn't really wrap his head around whether it would be more plant than animal, or vice versa.

"Ummm..." Juuzou mused aloud and dragged his weary gaze back down and towards his living cushion. "Does it have teeth..?" He had one free hand to pull at the beast's snout and lean over to peer towards its mouth. His grip was easily displaced by a firm shake of the manatee's head which was complimented by a low, annoyed hybrid of a grunt and a snort. "Ah? It probably does have teeth, huh?"

Shigaraki was swiftly putting thoughts into his head even without realising it. Juuzou was quiet and the silence was busy with thoughts. His nose gradually furrowed in distaste. "I don't want soggy plants in my mouth. Maybe I'll bite him if he gets moody." Juuzou mumbled with a decisive nod of his head. Good hustle, great plan.
