['Definitely not scary' is not how Soundwave would describe himself. While Soundwave is missing his shoulder missile pod here, he's still a big armored mech. He'd think he looks intimidating and scary, even though it contrasts a bit with how friendly he tries to be with the people here.

That being said, Soundwave kneels in front of Klee to not tower over her. While Klee hadn't shown even a tiny bit of fear in her at him, it's less intimidating this way.]
