[Set has yet to get into a single fight in this new world and that by itself is a miracle. There’s been a few close calls. The stress of being taken to a whole new world that is completely unfamiliar would be enough to make anybody on edge but Set whose default is constantly annoyed? Truly a miracle nobody is dead.
As he watches Emerald with her weapon, he knows this is going to be a challenge. With his handicaps, Set is trying to think about what to do because he can hear Thoth’s voice telling him not to be an idiot and rush into a fight that he hasn’t planned for. Well, he’s already done that but he can at least think this through a little. Right now, she’s got an advantage. She knows his magic and he doesn’t know hers. He hasn’t been here long enough to know the traits for each type. For all he knows, she can throw things at him and then it’s just a game of him running. He has to keep his eye out for magic and really, Set knows his speed is not one of his better traits. He’s always just been strong. Much like Emerald, he could usually take whatever somebody gave him. Only wounds by other gods could hurt him but now, apparently, anybody could.
Though Set hasn’t thought about the fact that he can just heal himself as he goes until Emerald says that and that’s useful. That’s really useful. He doesn’t know if he knows enough to heal himself as he fights. That’s playing dirty but at the same time, looking at her attitude, he doesn’t think she’s above a little of her own tricks.]
