I can understand. Mortals don't fear the gods without reason.

[They don't fear him without reason. What reason is there not to fear the god who comes to take the lives of loved ones; who sternly and steadfastly carries out his duty with no ear for pleas or bargains.

Thanatos views it as simply doing his job. To mortals, he must be terrifying.

The pawing at his robes draws his gaze downwards and he looks, curious, down at the little dragon vying for his attention. He lets out a soft 'hm' and leans down, scooping the creature up with one hand.
