One of my friends explained a little about magitek. If it were electric based instead of magic based, there's some similarities between it and my old prosthetic. I'm just glad it didn't scare him.

In fact you are right: that which you call electricity is easily substituted for the properties of levin crystals - and vice versa. With the right engineer, one could redesign magitek to completely eschew the need for aether altogether.

I wouldn't call it a world, per se, but a nexus is a good term for it. I'm not sure my level of technology would make much sense to you - we developed a completely different way, since we don't have any magic at home. But I am interested in learning more from you as well. We should meet for lunch or something sometime.
