What happened to his parents?

[ He's already got her interest. People aren't that nice, so he's either got an ulterior motive with the kid or she's suddenly found one of the rare people she thinks will actually put their money where their mouth is when it comes to being a hero. Taking care of an abandoned baby is way harder than shooting a monster in the face and never dealing with the wake of the battle, after all. People don't help others if it requires more than a quick fight in her experience. ]
