( she learns pretty quickly that she has light magic, after she creates a rather dazzling ball of light when a moving target pops out near her and scares her out of her skin. the name makes sense, but Izumi spends another five or ten minutes with the instructor going over just what it means.
it means a world of new things, and her eyes sparkle with the possibilities. but first, she listens to the instructor's recommendation and concentrates on the magic that showed itself first: creating light.
so, if you're trying something out, seeking targets, or simply look interesting to Izumi, you might find... well, there's a spotlight shining down on you or your target, just like one might expect to see shining down on a stage, highlighting the performers on it. )

This would be a great setting...! ( she's no Tsuzuru when it comes to scripts, or Omi when it comes to photography, but a director still has a creative process, and she snaps a few shots with her phone just in case. something like this could be useful in future, after all.
