Lucky for this man, Sizhui isn't argumentative by nature. Certain other Lans might have pressed the issue in order to gain the upper hand, and the boy does seem to want to do that for a brief moment. He inhales a breath, his brow furrowed and his lips pressed... and then exhales the same breath, the tension easing.

It's not worth the fight. Neither of them can change what happened, so arguing about who was right and wrong won't do them any good. But neither is he convinced that his actions were incorrect, so he chooses to simply not acknowledge any of the counter-logic that is being presented. Instead, he focuses on the cookies, crouching down to gather up the basket and the ones that hadn't spilled out onto the grass. As for the others...

"I think you wouldn't normally, but these can't be called normal if they grow on trees. It's not as if they haven't been exposed to the elements already..." Which stands to reason that maybe it would be alright to simply put them back in the basket? A little grass isn't going to hurt more than the leaves, surely.
