The corpse mostly. Don't love it when they're all... twitchy. Probably shouldn't have tried with a bird; birds are difficult on their own. Bones like toothpicks, you know. I've always practised on larger things, even when I was new to it.

[ of course he doesn't mention what he means by larger things specifically, but given that his companion skeleton is definitely human or at least human-like by the look of it, maybe it's easy enough to guess. ]

But I have a feeling the locals might object to that, what do you think?
