[ ledo has already resigned himself to this being the foreseeable future until enough people go missing that someone on the outside decides to do something about it. not that he's giving up at all; there's just no point in needlessly wasting energy he'll need later. other people had shown up here after him and he's largely ignored them. it's for the best — while he's perfectly willing to do what he needs to do to get through this with the least amount of trouble (and pain), others struggle with it. it's even harder to fight someone you've stood around chatting with to pass the time and more struggles and hesitations mean it's even more likely variables will get thrown in to make the fight more interesting. simple enough logic.
