Alec Lightwood | Shadowhunters

Red Spring - Arrival

Alec had no idea where he was after the guy dropped him off with the two big furry dogs pulling his sleigh.

Hazel brown eyes looked around suspiciously, and when he turned around there was absolutely no trace of the man even with the snow. But then he looked up and saw something that looked like a huge log cabin nestled in the snow and saw a bunch of people milling about despite the cold temperatures. He knew he definitely wasn't in New York anymore and he moved among the people, wondering if they were mundanes or otherwise.

But soon enough the Shadowhunter was standing trying to take it all in, when he heard barking and turned around. A white German Shepard soon came bounding over to see him and Alec eventually knelt down. It didn't seem like a werewolf because it was just too friendly. So he raised a hand up to pet it. "Are you lost too?"

Getting up after a few minutes, he headed over to a statue of a woman with golden scales in one hand and a sword in the other. For some reason he was reminded of the statue in the City of Bones. But soon enough Alec was shaken out of those thoughts due to his surprise that the dog had seemed to keep following him around. So he looked at it as the white tail wagged and then his eyes narrowed slightly, looking above the dog.

"This whole place is pretty strange."

Drink Up -

The cup had reminded him somehow of the Mortal cup so Alec had been pretty reluctant to partake in the ritual regarding it. He'd swirled the contents around and watched the effect it had on others. It didn't seem to have any adverse effects and finally he took a tiny sip after having it for about two hours. And at the end of the ritual as he was offered the gifts, he quickly shook his head at the offer of an escort. Nothing else sounded entertaining or anything he wanted either. So he picked up his left hand and began playing with the ring there a little nervously.

Magnus passed through his mind as he played with the ring and contemplated the free drinks that the man would enjoy. But it wasn't his thing so those were passed on too. He had no idea what he'd do with a Yule log or the recipe, so he sat at a table, using the free night stay at the Red Springs.

The stone fireplace roared and crackled behind him and occasionally a pop was heard as the logs burned. there was a beer in front of him as he sat there, with the white dog sitting vigilantly next to him on the floor though he wasn't currently looking at it when he spoke.

"You know, if you keep hanging around, I'm gonna have to give you a name."
