Info: a bloodthirsty, chaosmongering war devil whose primary motivations are, in no particular order:

1. Chaos
2. Chaos
3. Is this person useful in helping him spread chaos?
4. Raging against the ordering forces of the cosmos for sentencing him to an existence of pain and suffering.
5. Chaos

It isn't so much that he hates peace and quiet as it is that peace and quiet make him feel like he's going to die.

He tends to present himself as a cold, aloof and soft spoken man but it doesn't take much interaction to learn he has emotions. A lot of them, in fact. All of them even and as a being of chaos he experiences his emotions at 300% intensity. He's not at all likely to get sad and cry in front of you but he is likely to get sad, get confused over the fact that he's sad, get angry over the fact that he's confused and then stab you all in the span of 0.5 seconds. Yeah, he's one of those.

He's not evil, his lust for chaos is more of a primal need so he's like a wild animal. He is cruel, however. Extremely, unrelentingly cruel.
Magic & Familiar: Kinetic (Primary), Death Magic (Secondary), familiar is a bone dragon; a smaller version of the type of dracolich his old servant was.
Desired CR: I would be interested in him having opportunities to be more villainous, if you need anyone to attack/kill/generally frustrate your fighty hero types.

It is possible to get neutral to positive CR with him and I am always down for this as well. He is actually very motivated to save Avalon and resolve this whole Excalibur problem since dead universes and/or universes with stopped time are not chaos friendly. He is willing to work with others towards this greater goal, especially if they are willing to put up with his tendency to kill people. He doesn't think of himself as evil, he thinks of himself as chaos, so people with complex, weird or non-human centric views of morality will get his respect more easily. Beings such as gods, spirits, demons, etc who lost a lot of power coming to Avalon will intrigue him since they might be going through some of the same things he is.

If he decides someone is an enemy he is a ruthless combatant and will delight in hearing their screams as he kills them. If he decides someone is an ally he can be a surprisingly loyal companion, though he will leave an ally behind in order to protect himself. He looks out for his own survival over anyone else's.

Known Plans: Yuber is still researching the angry spirit he trapped in a bottle. Oh, yeah, he has an angry spirit trapped in a bottle don't worry about why.

Canon: Dragon Quest XI: Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fun Managers, and Just About Everything Else.
Info: An awkward teenager who rarely says the right things or does things the easiest way but means well. He's a living light being created by a tree to save the world and is still adjusting to this as well as some trauma suffered back home. Despite his uncertainties he tries to face every day with a smile and doesn't like people knowing his weakness.

Like any great shonen hero, he is eager to help people however he can.

He also loves pranks as long as they don't hurt anyone.

As usual, I continue to welcome any and all CR because literally nothing is too mundane from his perspective!

Slowly he's trying to open up more and try things and what he needs are friends! Also, found family would be great eventually! He's a bit difficult because he struggles with most things, but he's actually really willing to listen and take advice from people (even if it's not ideal advice, he doesn't really know the difference at this point!).

Known Plans: I basically died with his voice last month because of work and the one brain cell I had just wasn't making it happen BUT I actually have some plans for him moving forward.

• his recent absence/quietness will generally be explained as him having an unsteady familiar bond because he's been struggling with his familiar since he got here.
• Eventually when the time is right I plan on canon updating him to a point in canon where he will learn some important information and then.... have to deal with it!
• I'm not doing it right away because I want his cr to be a bit more developed, so now would be a great time to start something new if you're interested!
• his birthday is on the 23rd of August (because I arbitrarily gave him one lmao) and might try to give him some NICENESS before I make everything terrible, so potentially a birthday log??? He knows nothing about birthday customs so I invite anyone in to share with him! Ledo doesn't actually know it's on that day, but Chamber will~

Info: on the surface, itaru appears to be a charming, well-mannered salaryman who even gets the prince treatment of the company he works at -- but ultimately that's all a front to hide the fact that he's a shit-talking manchild with a crippling addiction to videogames. only the peeps at mankai knows about this side of him though, but upon coming here he just kind of stopped putting up the pretense since he's always wanted to be isekai'd, lol. that said, the two sides of his personality differ like night and day, but he's just as good at balancing the act by being his chill, laidback self overall.
Magics & Familiar: elemental + technomancy; his familiar is a cute little sprite fairy named gwen!

Known Plans: i'm planning to post a catchall for this month very soon!! ill prob post it later this night lol. he's going to do some street acts (basically improv acting) to try and fulfill #merlinquest bc why not embarrass himself while he's at it, hehe. i want him to take his magic training more seriously so maybe im gonna have him seek out a mentor or something.... idk. other than that im still playing by the ear for now.

Info: Jongdae comes from a world where "everything is true" and things like secret societies are totally a thing (he has a friend in the Illuminati!). There's also stuff like eldritch space monsters that might want to eat the world. Jongdae is a former test subject and formerly a wielder of amazing cosmic powers — and that was before he got a Bee. So then he was also functionally immortal and couldn't be killed permanently. He also had a million followers on TikTok. But then the Fog God yanked him out of that world and he lost all his powers and also spent the last year and a half as various types of monsters. He'd paid the local weird sorceress entity to become a manticore just before he got pulled into Avalon, and so now he's permanently part-cat. He also has an info post here!
Magics & Familiar: Alchemy + Blood | Bird of the Zero Point Pathogen ("Flappy")
Desired CR:

Jongdae also needs friends! He's very new and still figuring things out around here.

He would also like to get acquainted with other alchemists as well as anyone who has a lot of experience with magic (either of the local variety or in general from their own worlds) because he's a very "intuitive" sort of user. His original powers are classified as "chaos magic" and he's been trained to use a magical focus, so what he did before is magic, but he was never formally trained and basically did things by feel. So! He's looking for study buddies or might even be open to being someone's assistant in exchange for some help figuring out how to study magic.

Known Plans: I have plans for the future to get him out there more so he can get influencer status and be able to start making money off his internet presence. Otherwise, I'm very open! I also more or less died on his tags last month as well so since I am hiatused for half the month I will be chipping away at those as well.

Info: Claude has an easygoing, charismatic exterior. He rarely seems to take anything seriously, but all that joking around serves to mask his cunning and ambitious true nature. As the leader of the Leicester Alliance, he's come from the tail end of a long five-year war against the Adrestian Empire, in which he gained a reputation as a master tactician. He's secretive, slow to trust, and prone to scheming in order to gain the upper hand over his opponents.

He's ultimately an idealist, however, and wants to create a world where people can peacefully coexist regardless of birthplace, social status or beliefs. Avalon interests him in that regard, since people from other worlds have mostly been able to get together to cooperate. He's also insatiably curious, which constantly drives him to seek out knowledge or uncover mysteries. give him the looooooore (game lore? your canon's lore? all the lore)
Magics & Familiar: Dark & green magic, wyvern familiar
Desired CR: the cliche answer of ANYTHING... as mentioned, claude is endlessly curious about other people and other worlds, so he wants to meet just about anyone. Whether he gets along with them or rubs them the long way is another matter, but he really does want all the CR.
Known Plans: Claude's currently seeing what he can research after the desert expedition he mentioned in this post. I'm not sure if I'll have time to thread it myself, but if anyone else's character was dragged into underwater town shenanigans, he'll no doubt ask them questions about it too.

Info: Originally one of the four famous assassins of the Bakumatsu Period, he earned himself the nickname "Hitokiri (Manslayer) Izō" and uh... yeah he'll remind you about that Manslayer bit a lot. Really will just absolutely go feral if someone laughs at him or teases him. He's also a (former) Servant and you know how they roll. If you don't, unfortunately, it is 4 am and I do not have the brain cells to summarise Nasuverse neatly so here's a much more detailed info post!
Magics & Familiar: Animal + Siphon | Inugami
Desired CR:

I welcome all sorts! Given his temperament, it's not difficult to achieve negative cr with him, if that's what you're interested in but it's also totally possible to have nice positive cr as well! He can definitely use more friends and acquaintances, although he will struggle with that a lot. He doesn't technically have friends right now because he's still at a point where he doesn't know anyone well enough to consider them anything like that.

So really just... come at me.

Known Plans:

• I'm still kind of just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. I would like to do more with his magic this month, which seems to neatly fit together with the existing animal magic layer of this month's shenanigans.
• He will be getting doggo traits and he isn't gonna love it (but i will so continue to bother him).
• I probably SHOULD NOT considering the sort of time sink he's been for me so far but I will prrroooOOOOOObably(???) throw a catch-all up at some point if only because he's only met Kipposhi and Caster so far with respect to Fate cast so the opportunity will be there bUT ALSO BRING ME MORE CROSS-CANON CR IF I DO.

Desired CR: Friends, Parent figures, Frenemies! People who would try to stop him from being a reckless idiot. I'm cool with romance as long as it doesn't involve huge age gaps, plus he is currently hung up with whatever little feelings he has for Ginny left in the mean time. He will also defend kids and teens younger than him like a big brother.
Known Plans: I’m going to have Harry’s catch all post to be posted in a little bit, along with doing the Invasive Species quest and doing some magic tutorials for Akira and Ren as discussed with their players in Plurk. The Dude need more Knight quests right now.

Info: Teenaged battle butler from WWII who hunts vampires and other supernatural threats. Technically a child soldier even though he's not official military. Kind of like the SOE in practice -- go in, wreck shit and kill the targets, then get out quick to go do it somewhere else. Very gray morality. Cooks, cleans, and does his own laundry. More accepting of checkered pasts than your typical protagonist. Low-key but unabashed feminist.
Magics & Familiar: Kinetic and Death Magic, with a Black Dog (see folklore) for a familiar. He's finally given the boy a name, too!
Desired CR: Friendship, rivals, and maybe frenemies? Romance is more of 'if it happens, it happens' for him. He may be a teenager but the only thing he's thirsty for is a good fight. Or a good cup of tea.
Known Plans: I plan on doing a post on the network with him struggling to handle the hero treatment Celliwig is giving him and some of the other Death mages. Not only does he not see himself as a hero, from his perspective he didn't do well enough because Arthur was gravely wounded.
Other: Tl;dr he's going to be a little depressed this month. Threads might touch on darker subjects more than usual, but it's a good shot for getting some deeper CR with him.

Info: Main villain of the Shadowbringers expansion for FF14, one of the three Ascian Paragons that the Warrior of Light encounters. He's a grumpy and difficult old soul stuck in the body of Garlemald's first emperor. Although his morals are questionable at times, he has currently put his antagonism aside and keeps to himself where possible.

Magics & Familiar: Alchemy / Death, Shadow Gwiber

Desired CR: Would like him to have more friends or rivals - anything really. He needs more reasons to care about people beyond his own cast. People who fit into the 'hero' archetype will probably have more interesting interactions with him but I'm open to everyone!

Known Plans: I currently have a plot running - this log post has the details and a link to the related Questboard entry. After he is captured, he'll be sentenced to helping the Old Man (from the Pure of Heart quest months ago) with his end-of-life requests for about two months. If he makes any sort of trouble during that, he'll be forced to stay with the old man and unable to travel to the city.

Beyond that, I'm interested in doing some of the other quests after he's released. Since he has to behave, he'll be a little more (reluctantly) amenable to working with others.

Canon: Gintama (This is just one of those zodiac memes going around on Twitter, but I feel like it gives a nice little glimpse into Gintama's atmosphere!)
Info: What if aliens invaded Earth in the 19th century (and we only looked at how that would affect Japan)? You get a wild mix of samurai stuff and space ships, CD players, MMOPRGs, and other 20th/21st century staples. In that chaotic world Hijikata co-leads the Shinsengumi, the shogunate's special police. He's a bit of a short-tempered bastard with a mayonnaise obsession, but ultimately he stands by his principles. I've got some first impressions here!
Magics & Familiar: Elemental & Death | Crow Tengu (Arashi)

Desired CR: I'm always up for anything (I mean it)!! Hijikata has some really great solid CR, and he got to know many new people last month. While a bunch of threads are still ongoing (forgive my slowness, work knocked me back a bit again this week!) he has a good impression of everyone new so far, and I'm curious to see where those relations might go too if you'd like to keep throwing them at each other!

Known Plans: There's so much good stuff to do again this month..!! Since the death mages who helped with the mirror are getting a reward I may make a prompt for that in case anyone would like some nice downtime in Celliwig. In terms of TDM prompts Hijikata will try to stay away from the mandrakes since he's wary of them (and also because he's preoccupied with the murders around town), but if anyone would like to do that with him, please rope him in!! I'll happily tag out. Of course he'll join the lake caravan to Elphame and end up going under, only to wake up with a new cecaelia bottom. Now Hijikata is one of the least horny Gintama characters (which says a lot), but his time on Prismatica did a number on him and left him with a... "special interest" in tentacles, so I'm playing with the idea of having him dawdle and end up stuck like that for a while for maximum awkwardness. He'll deflect and lie as hard as possible if anyone notices how compromised he is, but maaaybe there's a chance for some NSFW shenanigans there. I'm not yet sure if I'll have him back to normal in time to join the events at the castle. We'll see!

Regarding the Questboard he'd need to be roped into preparing the farmlands for Pomona's Day, the #MerlinQuest, and the Carcinus culling, mainly because he's so focused on the murders (and the roping doesn't have to be IC; just let me know if you'd like him to make himself useful on any of those fronts with your character and we'll make it happen!). On the dark web side of things he'll be available to protect, escort and/or defend animal mages who are being persecuted. I may just hit him with different fun animal parts at that stage, probably bull traits as another call-back to Prismatica. Why should he get a break?

One more thing I keep forgetting! The other month he lost his sword when he got into a kerfuffle with a fuath in the lake, and the Lady of the Lake kindly retrieved it for him, but not without first pretending that she instead found two (far more valuable) other swords... and since Hijikata was happy enough to take either of those as a replacement for the time being she gave him a slap of the wrist for being so unfaithful to his sword, in the form of a spell: the first thing that is said after someone is struck by his sword will come true. If anyone would like to have that be the cause for shenanigans, hit me up!

ALSO please never hesitate to poke me if I haven't responded to your tag after 3 days or longer! If that happens there's a 99% chance that Dreamwidth ate the notification!

Canon: Doki Doki Literature Club

Info: Monika is a sentient video game character with severe trauma, and who thinks all of her troubles will be solved the day she finds love. On the surface though, you won't see any of it. She gives the image of a particularly intelligent eighteen-years old who holds herself with poise and tries to be confident. She's not that good with people so sometimes she can be a little bit awkward or timid, but she's also very friendly and tries her very best to make sure people around her feel comfortable and appreciated. As a general rule, she's doing really great when things are going as planned, and starts doing far worse once things go in totally unexpected ways.

She's a really sweet and kind person who has done horrible and terrible things when she was driven to despair. She can be a bit selfish and her experience as a video game character was basically what can best be described as a living hell. She also knows deep down falling in love won't solve her problems, but it's a nice thing to believe in. She's very good at convincing herself of her own lies when needed.

Magics & Familiar: Cognitive + Technomancy (will change to Kinetic in September). Familiar is a little shit, er I mean, a very rude pink nine-tailed fox.

Desired CR: Monika desperately needs people she can rely on and eventually open up to. She's already started making friends, but she needs more! She may not look like it, but the path she's on potentially leads to a total breakdown sooner or later unless she receives the proper support and advice. All the friends please!

People who hide trauma too would be great, people she can relate to and who can relate to her. Mutual support for the win! Fellow literature and music nerd! Fellow artificial lifeforms because somehow, all artificial lifeforms in media have life of misery. Also romantic-minded people with whom she can share her romantic dreams. Speaking of romance, she's really hoping to find love, but OOCly I'd rather it happens naturally.

And course, the true and tried negative CR is always an option, too.

Known Plans: Monika is going to start a social network thing sometimes this month! A Youtube channel on which she'll post thrice a week. On Fridays she'll post an audio book recorded by herself, and on Tuesdays she'll post introductions to various literary genres and formats. On Sundays, she'll post a different video every week of the month.

On Week 1, she'll post "Monika's Writing Tip of the Month." On Week 2, she'll post poem readings (her own and that of the audience which they sent her). On Week 3, she'll post book recommendations and evaluations based off her own readings. On Week 4, she'll reply to her audiences's questions, messages and the likes. And for the rare times when a month got five Sundays, the fifth week will be a musical special where she'll adapt her own writing into a song. She'd be super happy to do collaborations with other social network people or to have "guest stars" when discussing literary themes and formats she's less familiar with!

That aside, she'll practice her Technomancy and try making more friends!

Here be spoilers. A student at Hope's Peak Academy, a Japanese High School that collects the most talented prospective students from across the country and beyond, assigning them 'Ultimate' titles based on what they are the best-of-the-best at and encouraging them to hone said talents. Mukuro here is the Ultimate Soldier, having worked as part of an elite Mercenary group called Fenrir - but she returned to Japan to attend Hope's Peak and help her twin sister (and Ultimate Fashionista/Despair) Junko end the world with the power of despair. Oops?

As part of her sister's plans, she was posing as her in the killing game Junko set up in their school. Only problem is, her acting is atrocious, she knows nothing about fashion and can't help but nerd out about weapons and military stuff. She's a loyal, devoted bodyguard with a basically non-existent self worth thanks to her sister's abuse. Mukuro has precisely two braincells, one devoted to Junko and one devoted to military stuff, but she tries her best.
Magics & Familiar: Animal+Blood / Hellhound

Desired CR: Anything really! Potential shipping is great, but so is making new friends and building up the friendships she already has- always open to negative CR as well, even whilst posing as Junko she can be abrasive.

More broadly, people she can talk about weapons and such with whilst pretending to be a fashionista (and failing), people she can talk fashion with (and failing at that too), and people she can quest with (and maybe slightly less failing) are all good fun.

Known Plans: She posted on the network a couple of days back announcing the Fashion Show she's planning for 14th August- oh, and having a panic attack about the Traders just giving her one of the spears used to kill her in canon.

Other than the fashion show she's dealing with suddenly having a doggo tail due to weird magic rituals- please talk to her about weapons and watch her tail wag despite feigning disinterest. She's also helping Emet-Selch with his Fae vendetta, and otherwise lying low because well she was one of the people who critically wounded their Arthur clones so... Arthur's state may or may not be her fault. Oops.

The June/July crazy backlog hasn't entirely cleared so I'm hoping to sort that out this month too.

Other:

Info:
Volatile, manipulative sorceress of Greek Myth, summoned as a Caster-Class Servant to fight in a magical war between Magi in present day Japan. Known as the 'Witch of Betrayal', and makes herself look the part with her suspicious looking dark cloak and secretive manner, she'll resort to underhanded and outright evil tactics to get her happiness. She's really, really bad at not playing herself off like evil-incarnate, but her true wish is to just go home to her partner and have a happy ending as his wife. She started her life in Avalon trying to learn about all the magic and rituals ever whilst working out how to get home- but since finding out her partner was killed in battle and having a massive villainous breakdown over it, she feels lost and without a purpose.
Magics & Familiar: Dark+Siphon / Skeletal Dragon

Desired CR: Same as last month really! Other than romance (she's still grieving), I'm up for most things with a weakness for found family for her. She's fiercely attached to the people who stood by her through her breakdown, and is dealing with the mess that is the negative CR she picked up- so all for more of that, as well as new people who might want to approach her!

She's a bit withdrawn currently, but people who can bring her out of her shell and talk to her about magic/potion brewing/give a her friendly face/have a go at her are all welcome.

Known Plans: I've not done an open log for a while so will probably do that-

Aside from wrecking shit to protect any animal mages she cares about getting hurt, she's now learned how to brew potions! So she'll be focusing on trying to come up with some new recipes for that, and look for things she needs to set up a proper winery- even if she's just using it as a distraction from her grief, her aim is still to set up a cute little winery/potion shop in Avalon.

She's also unknowingly suffering from a slow-burn curse thanks to her setting part of the Broceliande on fire, where she's starting to forget what her partner looked like...but at this stage she hasn't realised exactly what's going on.

TDM wise she'll be dragged to the bottom of the ocean for cecaelia funtimes, and when she gets back she'll be getting golden sheep features. And be very unimpressed about how on the nose it all is. "Just because I owned the Golden Fleece at one point!!"

Mostly just driving by to say that I'm loving the CR with these two, and oh boy if they ever get into a talk about the nature of despair that would be fun.

Also given how she's reacted to the rest of the Fate/'s so far, I'm looking forward to seeing how she'd respond if/when she finds out Caster's literally Medea.

Character Name: Drake Mallard / Darkwing Duck
Canon: DuckTales (2017)
Info: Within this canon, Darkwing Duck is an in-universe tv show, and Drake Mallard is a fanboy who essentially decides to become the hero in real life. Out of costume, he's a relatively chill, nerdy duck. And, mostly at night, he acts as Darkwing Duck, which involves being over-the-top and theatrical about everything, with lots of wordplay and alliteration, and a bit of pretending to be edgy. He does have a big ego and can be very petty, but he's sincere in wanting to help others and he can be very loyal and determined. He will always get back up to keep fighting no matter how many slapstick injuries he may endure!

Desired CR: Most kinds! Friends, found families, potential rivals or suitable enemies. Fellow crimefighting/hero types, other animal people, people to be confused/weirded out by him, fellow nerds, anyone you think might be fun to bounce off of him!
Known Plans: I don't have much planned currently! Once again I'm in the boat of wanting to do some quests for him but not having definite feels for them. I might try to aim for a network or log post at some point, he may end up with some random other animal parts from animal mage tomfoolery, we'll see!
