QUESTION FOR A QUESTION MEME

We all like hearing about each other's characters! We all like talking about our own characters! With this groundbreaking new meme, now you can finally do both, for the very first time in DWRP history!

The Guidelines:

  • Post a toplevel listing the characters you play! If you have any boundaries you want to set re: questions you might receive (e.g. "No NSFW questions for this character"), do that here too.
  • Tag other people asking them questions about their characters. What kinds of questions? Up to you! Canon questions, headcanon questions, meta questions, some random thing you've wondered since that thread you had two months ago, it's all fair game.
  • Need ideas? I was passed this excellent gallery of various questions memes, so feel free to crib from these or just use them as inspiration.
  • Answer the questions you receive, and, once you've done that, hit the person back with a question of your own about their character(s) too!
  • You can end it there, or continue to go back and forth asking questions until you're out.

Now get to askin'!

kipposhi!

Would kipposhi get upset if his own ambition were challenged? Or told he was wrong?
I feel he would respond by wanting to rise to that challenge, and prove his will through action. He'd find the idea of being challenged, right down to the core of him, a chance to prove himself right, more than to be frustrated by it. He's incredibly stubborn, like that, and relishes in the invigoration that would come from the conflict.

How does he feel about avalon? Does he want to try to conquer it for himself?
He finds Arthur to be a poor ruler, and feels like if he were to take the reigns, he would be able to bring about the solution the the calamity through force of will and, of course, his ability to find and give support to capable people. Mostly, he just feels Arthur lacks the ruthlessness to make impactful decisions that create clear paths towards his goals, something Kipposhi himself can't abide by. Whether or not he'd make a go at challenging Arthur directly about it is more if he feels it's worth the trouble to do so.

But dollars to donuts he's fuckin thinking about it.

What other friendships has he developed in avalon that would make him question his actions - or rather. Would HE EVER question his own actions?
I know I just said he'd relish the conflict of having his ideals challenged, but the aftermath of that challenge is where I feel like things get even more interesting. Namely, what happens if, in that conflict, he comes to something he cannot simply burn his way past?

I feel, as of now, Mona (and Stephanie, most likely) is the character that would most likely put him in a position like that, one he could not simply use force and charisma to overcome, mostly because he actually cares what they think, what they feel. He feels their presence in his life enriches it, and he doesn't want to lose that if he doesn't have to.

What that ultimately will mean is yet to be seen, but Mona's already seen past a few of those personas he wears, in particular. She's seen shades of the "real" him. That has weight to it. Something he's not even sure she realizes.

Do you feel him going through changes in avalon ? Or do you feel he will continue the same, being who he is as the demon lord?
So this posits an interesting question, too.

Can an Avenger change without fundamentally changing what makes them an Avenger?

Kipposhi is, obviously, not the pure manifestation of the Demon King that Maou Nobunaga is, but that's still inside of him, it's still part of him that can (and will, given the circumstances) manifest. It may be argued as the engine that drives his will. Can that change in a significant way, without changing what makes him who he is?

Mostly, I feel like what is possible to change is his reliance on impressions, on his need to be seen a certain way in order to ascertain his own existence. Kipposhi sees himself as a series of reflections (sad I didn't do any magic mirror threads) and at some point, he will need to face the part of him that isn't reflected in anything... how and when that will happen, who knows
