QUESTION FOR A QUESTION MEME

We all like hearing about each other's characters! We all like talking about our own characters! With this groundbreaking new meme, now you can finally do both, for the very first time in DWRP history!

The Guidelines:

  • Post a toplevel listing the characters you play! If you have any boundaries you want to set re: questions you might receive (e.g. "No NSFW questions for this character"), do that here too.
  • Tag other people asking them questions about their characters. What kinds of questions? Up to you! Canon questions, headcanon questions, meta questions, some random thing you've wondered since that thread you had two months ago, it's all fair game.
  • Need ideas? I was passed this excellent gallery of various questions memes, so feel free to crib from these or just use them as inspiration.
  • Answer the questions you receive, and, once you've done that, hit the person back with a question of your own about their character(s) too!
  • You can end it there, or continue to go back and forth asking questions until you're out.

Now get to askin'!

IYAAAAAAA-- he's got a nice ass actually

So currently, I think Kotarou will certainly become a hero on some level. Even if he doesn't become like the overly popular heroes that he admires, I think he could easily be the 'friendly neighborhood hero' that people can easily approach and interact with (whether he realizes that or not). Though he will probably continue to compare himself to "Hero X" or "Hero Y" and think that he's not a big deal compared to them. In all of the routes of the game, Kotarou manages to become a "can-do-anything" guy for the sake of a loved one, his friends and/or the entire world. And one of the key points of his character is pursing multiple possibilities and 'rewriting' the fates of people in big or small ways. In one way or another, Kotarou directly or indirectly ends up changing things which can make him hard to predict. He's like a small pebble that creates ripples in a big pond if that makes sense!

His favorite mobage in Avalon is "Glory Kingdom" atm which he will absolutely shill in his post coming up! He'd say that he's trying to roll for Sarah the Idol since singing idols are cute!

Right now, I'd say their porn hunting adventure + Black Knight's castle adventure is right up there! I'm looking forward to doing more with that CR absolutely. I think if the idea comes into Kotarou's mind, then he would totally pitch a channel to Kadoc. Though the question would be if Kadoc would accept that idea. Since Kadoc likes mythology and Kotarou enjoys UMAs/mythical monsters, they could do a little Pokedex channel thing for people who are interested! There's a lot of potential to be found there.

AND Questions:

For Mona: What has been the hardest thing for her to adjust to so far in Avalon and how do you think she'll handle it all?

For Gawain: What emotional problems do you wish to see him tackle and possibly overcome while he's here in Avalon?

WHY DID U HAVE THAT IMAGE READY IM YELLING.

OMG THE IDEA OF THE MYTHOLOGY/POKE DEX CHANNEL I NEED IT just wanna hear these two go back and forth with their hilariously different personalities. I would love them to just make like a podcast i feel liek they give off shane and ryan vibes.

kotarou: i've connected the two dots
kadoc: You didnt connect shit
kotarou: i've connected them

I hope kotarou becomes the hero he wants to be, and not over compensate the idea he needs to be better than who he is. Which is perfect! JUST HOW! HE IS!!! HE IS FINE!!

YOU DIDNT HAVE TO ASK QUESTIONS I CAME HERE TO ASK YALL QUESTIONS!!!

What has been the hardest thing for her to adjust to so far in Avalon and how do you think she'll handle it all?

Initially it was... Being out of the waters with her inability to read 'stars.' Mona had to start ALL OVER, and still is studying relentlessly to figure out how to read Astrology/peoples stars/etc all over again. Thankfully because this is roleplay, and there was a neat way for me to figure out a way to make it possible for her to do astrology here. I managed around it! Its a small subplot, that I work with month by month to give that illusion that she is working hard to make it work - so it will be totally worth it at the end. When she can finally read peoples fate/destiny. Though it will be more about their past, and maybe very rarely their future since this is roleplay. That is hard to do without player oocly telling me things.

What emotional problems do you wish to see him tackle and possibly overcome while he's here in Avalon?

Overall with the many years I've roleplayed him, not one person ever caught on to the fact that his over exertion of being happy all the time. Is a sad pathetic attempt at wafting over his real feelings. Or the fact that he will give himself to any woman is actually kinda fucked up. And instead of any woman pointing this out to him, they just 'fell in love with someone who will give their all to them.'

Or that his enjoyment in women - as he says openly in fate go. Then in extra, talks about how older women are unruly and creepy ( looks at kiara its ok tho). That in between two weird comments, there is a real truth.

Gilgamesh in extra points out that, its his fault he couldnt see the issues his King had. Gawain doesnt comment on this, and merely says he doesnt want to work with a tyrant ( funny because singularity Camelot, Arturia is one ). He doesnt respond EVER to anything that would divulge his own individual feelings, and has a good idea of controlling what you want to understand him as. Then from that - Gawain doesnt give a shit what you think of him.

Continuing on in extra, when Leo dies and loses to Hakuno. Gawain talks about how he knew from the beginning what he was doing - was not necessarily right. Its brought to light that Gawain was completely aware of Leos faults. His inabilities, and still served him Loyally. Despite knowing exactly what was wrong with Leo. never once telling him, but merely being there to make a path for him to grow.

This is shown a lot more in foxtail. Despite him being treated like a gag more or less in the comic.

THENNN Gawain in EXTELLA, obsesses over finding Arturia and bending the knee to them. Obsesses over what kind of 'king' he wants to serve under, switching his command and tolerating Nero. More so wanting to serve Hakuno. Going into Extella Link, you see him talking about how dismissive he is of other characters. And protective he is over Hakuno. He wants to help Hakuno get away from the craziness that is nero, tamamo, gilgamesh etc.

And also he does blindly serve Arturia there when they show up, and runs to go beat the fuck out of lancelot.

He is rightly aware of .... People, how they are, and Singularity Camelot was the biggest: Wow Gawain is in control of his emotions way too much. But a lot of people over view his blind loyalty, as him being blindly loyal. And not him, decisively choosing his role, acknowledging who he is, what he is capable of, and realizing he can be nothing more then this. Even his anger which comes about very scarcely, and is a thing to fear.

People think he killed his sister in pre singularity camelot, without remorse. But the way it was written was that gareth asked to be killed and no one moved. and then Lancelot was about to - and ??? you honestly think??? Gawain would let that fucking man touch his sister again? after everything shes been through?

gawain mercy kills gareth - and when i learned in lb6 gawain & lancelot were summoned to mercy kill the new beast. I was like 'ok that checks out.'

WHEN YOU ASK ME WHAT PROBLEM I WANT HIM TO OVER COME HERE, i dont even think its possible for gawain to over come his problems because he is so rightly fuckng aware what his problems are. And he is dedicated to his position of being loyal, and refuses to budge on it regardless of if that makes him right or wrong? in a historically canon action he did, when a monk asked him and told him he needed help. Trying to guide him toa place where he can get it...

Gawain voice: I dont have time for this. I dont need help.

id like for him to meet someone who actually gets him like leo does.

tbh even like with kadoc, he knows what hes doing is wrong. but he sdoing it anyways, bc he sees kadoc and sees that apathetic depressive aura he gives and it reminds him of lancelot. and it pisses him off. kadoc wants to be gareths friend, and gawain wants kadoc to just basically wake the fuck up. and a lot of his harshness towards kadoc is the same harshness he affords anyone around him who he wants to change or be better. but its interestin... anyway.

i dont think i answered your question im so sorry
