It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Character Name: Kate Galloway
Canon: Original
Info: Grumpy former military from a world where science has made it possible for people to get powers via the ingestion of a pill, which was immediately snapped up by governments and bootlegged by drug dealers. She is cynical, stand-offish and despite it all, extroverted — just lost in bad habits formed after the murders of her parents. Basically thinks keeping her (adoptive) brother safe and provided for is the only thing she's good for any more. Restless, loves exercising and anything that can distract her from her own thoughts for a little while.

Magics & Familiar: Kinetic & Blood / Bean Nighe

Desired CR: She's been making some good CR but I'm always here for more of it! Especially since I'm gonna canon update her after RL stops throwing too much at me and OH BOY she is not going to enjoy that. She is pretty extroverted under all her bullshit and can get along with most people (in her own sort of way), but athletic types and bar / coffee shop frequenters will have a leg up in this since they're where you're most likely to encounter her. Intelligent and snarky characters tend to be people she likes too, and I always appreciate characters who will see past her bullshit and prod her out of her comfort zones. Talkative characters who will just let her sit and listen to them ramble about themselves are also nice.

Her character development is slowly edging towards her realising she's happier in Avalon than she is at home and hating that fact, so basically come give me more people she can be bros with and come to trust. 🤗

she recently got a business licence to set up a parkour gym which I still need an appropriately dumb name for pls help and while I'm not going to do any posting about it (mostly because of stuff I wanna do with other characters and not wanting to overload myself since I'm also backtagging, as ever) if you want your character to learn how to parkour, feel free to hit up her inbox if you wanna thread it out, or just chat with me if you'd like to handwave it!

Said gym has indoor / outdoor space and characters who want to practice any movement based magic are also free to come and train there.

— bubble bar truth session! Look, she's actually been coming out of her shell on her own terms but I also just need to put her through something she would hate because it's been a minute since I've been mean to her.

— the tattoo prompt makes everything in me go 👀 so I'd definitely be here for throwing her at either the caretaking or branding parts if anyone's interested.

Character Name: Takuto Maruki
Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Info: Maruki is a walking spoiler kind, clumsy, and warm guy. The kind of guy who tries to get cats out of trees and doesn't think twice before offering his change to someone who says they don't have enough for the train. He's also a counsellor, eager to help people with their trauma, which is something he's noting as incredibly common around the people brought to Avalon.

He is also very much of the belief that all pain is useless and would be better off erased from the world, but surely nothing bad can come of this, right?

I will also link his permissions so people can get a better idea of what to expect, content-wise.

Magics & Familiar: Cognitive & Death / Hastur

Desired CR: Maruki makes a nice first impression, so positive CR is pretty easy to get. He wants to help people, so he's trying his best to do that by offering an ear and a slot at his counselling office. He's always interested in meeting other people who are curious about Avalon, the magic here, and other facets, so library nerds and people who are willing to help him master cognitive magic are very relevant to his interests.

I am also very interested in characters who will engage in debate with him about all things related to psychology and his approach to dealing with people's pain and trauma. I'm trying not to load this up with spoilers, but if you wanna tackle Maruki's character on a deeper level, you can always hit me up so we can discuss spoilers more freely.

— none! personally, I'm a little interested in Anthropology 101 for him but Maruki doesn't check the dark web, so he'd only go if someone he knew was doing it.

Maruki has a counselling office (info) which is here to help anyone in Avalon who needs a little therapy (so, most of y'all). Note: I'd prefer not to be starting any new threads for this this month because I already have a pretty decent backlog, and aforementioned RL issues. Please also note that Maruki's counselling is... Questionable at best. This delves into walking spoiler territory and please feel free to hit me up if you wanna know more or handwave a session!

— bubble bar truth time! Maruki could definitely do with dropping some truths out of his mouth, though that will likely be an intense thread so I'd prefer it to not be new CR.
— he is not a combatant, but he does have death magic, so I am really tempted to get him involved in the undead slaying somehow.
— and I definitely also want him involved in the tattoo stuff in some capacity. ehe.

izumi tachibana.

Character Name: Izumi Tachibana
Canon: A3!

Info: Izumi is the general director of the Mankai Company and a Protagonist extraordinare. She is a genuinely lovely person, incredibly passionate about theatre, curry, and is emotionally astute and good at advice. But underneath that, she does have a bit of a snarky streak, along with a good helping of the stupid.

She's adorable, please love her.

Magics & Familiar: Light & Bargaining / Miho the lioness

Desired CR: Izumi is just straightforwardly nice, bright, and good with people, so positive CR is pretty easy with her! I am always looking for CR with lovely ladies, as her canon is a sausage fest and she deserves some good ladybonding. She has no experience with magic or the supernatural before coming here, so that's always a good way to bond with her — if you're more experienced with non-mundane things, please teach her, and if you're not, come and side-eye everything with her.

If your character might have even the SLIGHTEST interest in acting, please feel free to throw them at her, as she'll definitely try to recruit them. u_u If your character just needs a Good Presence in their life, she'll do her best to help. If your character wants to know all the benefits of a curry-based diet... well, she's an expert.

Also because she's certified Useless: if you hit on her, you'll make her brain short-circuit.

kaika theatre;
as announced last month, the A3! cast now has their own theatre (thank you Taichi 🥰) and I am planning to finally get a mingle log up for the fundraiser / maybe post-audition stuff, so if you want to come along and sample some baller curry bread, eat cupcakes, have some hot chocolate and get to know the theatre, keep your eyes peeled!

not much specifically I wanna do with her, though I am tempted to give her a tattoo as well because I want her to get a pretty flower tattoo one way or another. maybe the fairy coin thing could be cute too?

Character Name: Century Egg
Canon: Food Fantasy

Info: Egg is a bit of a weird one. Very quiet and passive, he doesn't seem to really do anything unless told, preferring to follow others around. His mental state is... not great, but he's an excellent fighter and when he makes positive CR he tends to pledge his loyalty to them, so you get a free murderbot weapon / servant! He has severe abandonment issues. Like. "Tried to murder a guy so he wouldn't abandon him" issues.

But once you get past that, he's pretty sweet and placid and genuinely wants to help the people he's loyal to.

Magics & Familiar: Dark & Death / Warrior Spirit

Desired CR: Oh my god please just give me people who will value this boy openly as more than a weapon. He really needs a lot of help adjusting to the modern world and coming out of his shell (haha, get it?) and re-finding facets of his personality which were buried in the mausoleum centuries ago. He's still new so I'm still feeling out directions for him but. Good things.
