It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Character Name: Monika
Canon: Doki Doki Literature Club

Info: Monika is a sentient video game character with severe trauma, and who thinks all of her troubles will be solved the day she finds love. On the surface though, you won't see any of it. She gives the image of a particularly intelligent eighteen-years old who holds herself with poise and tries to be confident. She's not that good with people so sometimes she can be a little bit awkward or timid, but she's also very friendly and tries her very best to make sure people around her feel comfortable and appreciated. As a general rule, she's doing really great when things are going as planned, and starts doing far worse once things go in totally unexpected ways.

She's a really sweet and kind person who has done horrible and terrible things when she was driven to despair. She can be a bit selfish and her experience as a video game character was basically what can best be described as a living hell. She also knows deep down falling in love won't solve her problems, but it's a nice thing to believe in. She's very good at convincing herself of her own lies when needed.

Magics & Familiar: Telekinesis (just changed) / Technomancy [nine-tailed fox familiar]

Desired CR: All the CR! But seriously, more friends would be great! Monika got a few close friends she's made already and managed to get even closer to last event, but having as many friends as possible or deepening the relationships she already has would be amazing. Right now after the video game bit in the event, she's in a terrible spot mentally.

Monika still wants to become a magical girl deep down and she's well on her way there. She's gonna get her staff soon, she got her final form unlocked, next step is the clothes. So, costume designers and people helping her walk that path would be more than welcome.

Known Plans: Monika got the familiar symbiosis spell and she's gonna try it. People who'll help her would be great. If you want to see Monika becoming super-powerful for an hour, growing nine tails and fox ears, only to collapse of exhaustion after the spell ends, now's the moment! She's gonna train with Telekinesis too, as soon as she's changed her magic on the 22nd.

She's still keeping her social network channel about literature updated, more information here! It's all about literature and poetry, so that's a good way to get to know her without having ever met her.

Speaking of the 22nd, it's her birthday! I'm not too sure whether I'll do anything, she may throw a small party if there are people willing to attend.

Oh man I'm ready for them to get drinks this month but I also definitely want to play with the symbiosis thing, as Kadoc has really complicated feelings about that spell. yessssss

Maybe they can get attacked by [insert randomly generated enemies] when they go get their drinks and she has to use her final form to save the day!

I think I'm also going to be putting up an open post later in the week at this rate, just waiting for everyone to be around, but it's more likely mine will be delayed by dumb rl issues lol. So you can go for it! And if I actually get around to posting mine first I'll let you know and write the starter for my post, either works for me. yaaaaaay \o/

I'd be interested in making friends! Ritsuka is definitely more of the "wanted to be a mech pilot" over a magical girl, but she would certainly approve of following those childhood dreams, haha.

In general, though, I'm also interested in new cr, so I'd be into throwing them together in whatever to see what happens!

Hey hey, sure thing! I think speaking of said "dreams" would be a great way to get their CR started (well not so much of a dream, but a cute idea she has with magic).

Generally speaking, I think Monika would be fascinated if she ever learnt of Ritsuka's background and panic a bit because that's totally a gacha protag story

I think that'd be fun for sure! Even if Ritsuka doesn't get it, she's good at the being supportive thing.

Ritsuka's not exactly playing her cards close to the chest for her backstory, mostly because there are enough Servants who recognize her that she's kind of resigned that it would get out anyway and she's an open book most of the time, so I'm cool with that coming out sooner or later! Though after Kotarou's post last month, she's definitely had to consciously think about how much her life resembles a gacha game, and then had to go lie down for a bit.

Monika has already met a few of said Servants (and is Beowulf's #1 fangirl, like he's the hero from the first english poem so of course).

I think I'll have a log later this week, do you have a preference for how they meet or do you prefer to stick to the open prompts?

I can roll with open prompts! If you start writing your log and think of anything in specific, I'm more than happy to roll with it, however it comes up. /o/

Would you like to thread something along the lines of finalizing the staff and having her try it out? Darin’s never seen a weapon like that before and I think he’d totally want to hear about what a magical girl is. I think it’d be a good way for them to get to know each other better!

Sure thing! She'll thank him a lot to have managed to get her one step closer to making her dream(?) come true. But yeah, discussing over this and their dreams would be a good way to get closer.

I think ideally that should happen after she's switched to Telekinesis, this way she'll be able to show him what she had in mind exactly.

Oh gosh all those plans you have for Monika sound so FUN... that familiar spell especially. I'd love to throw Tifa at her during some point in that, or if she needs help after collapsing, she wouldn't hesitate to jump in and give her a hand!

More generally, I just really want CR with Monika.

I would love to start some CR with Monika! DDLC is a freaking trip and she deserves all the friends. I just have this one cheerful, kind of dumb lad to offer up, but he loves making new friends.

She still regularly has nightmares about her "life" in DDLC and is on a collusion course with a mental breakdown if her issues don't get better within a few months, so yesh please! She could definitely use a cheerful lad to help her (she's sure he's not dumb, probably).

That is totally understandable. We'll build a great support system of good friends for this good girl, and hopefully we can divert that collision.

I have no ideas at present, so I'll keep an eye open for her log! :D

Can we touch the fluffy tails? Kotarou would be dumb enough to try... He's recently discovered his blood magic to be a little more useful in the fighting department, so he can protect Monika while she's recovering too!
