Character Name: Rei Amayado
Canon: Hypnosis Mic
Info: Rei is a bioengineer whose master invention brought an end to weaponized warfare back home. Currently he's pretending to be a slimy conman in order to hide that fact, as well as pave the way for his next plans. Unfortunately for all of us, his conman act is very convincing....
When he's not busy trying to sign people up for pyramid schemes Rei is a nosy, blunt and overly-familiar old man who gives surprisingly good advice. He loves music, good food, and barhopping! Also he's DTF.
Magics & Familiar: Dark/Technomancy, & a Hou Ou named Princess! ATM Rei uses most of his magic power to run Lamplight (below) and doesn’t enter combat much.

Desired CR: Anything! If you need a shady information broker to hook your character up with [insert shady plot device here], he’s ready to serve lol. Otherwise he also pals around and will gladly one-sidedly befriend you ww

I'll probably tag around with Rei a bit this month because the Hot Knights quest is REALLY funny.
I'm also interested in the Cult Classic quest: since Rei runs a performance venue, the culprit might hang around that area of town to have a sliver of plausible deniability before he kills his victims. that is not good for business. Maybe Rei could provide an extra reward for characters to guard the place until the culprit is caught?? 😂 HE HAS MONEY NOW, HE RUNS TWO BUSINESSES, HE CAN AFFORD IT
I’m also realizing that I haven’t made an open post for Rei since like, 6 months ago IM SORRY LMAO!!!! i’ll make one sooner or later, but in the meantime if you’re chomping at the bit PLEASE hmu and we can do whatever the fuck

OK but here's my awful suggestion of the month bc I want to get Izumi on this quest:

Izumi and Rei teaming up for Hot Knights. ☠ At least they'd have the magic combo to do stealth mode? It would be a hot mess and you know it.

Also remind me to throw Egg at Rinea this month 🥺

Is there something specific you're looking for him to do? I know Sakyo was a yakuza but i'm not familiar with exactly what kind of jobs that means. How Sketchy Are We Talking

Rei won't be able to disclose Lamplight to him since he runs it anonymously, but now that Rei provides technomancy'd anon accounts to knights who got banned from the dark web(most famously Hijikata), maybe Sakyo can organize and deliver them? LMFAO

so we like don't get a lot of info on what Sakyo even does in the yakuza other than help collect debts and he essentially babysits the boss's only son but he legit was ready to bulldoze the Mankai Company theater even though the place is INCREDIBLY important to him and he will get physical with anyone that pisses him off (he and Azami actively get into fist fights. reminder Azami is like 14-15 and the son of his yakuza boss). so i just kinda headcanon that he knows how to do a little of everything ever since he joined the yakuza as a teenager but he's mostly used to debt collection and doesn't mind beating people up to get something done for his boss, he just prefers to use his hands instead of weapons.

i was thinking they could start by building up trust by having Rei hire Sakyo as a temporary guard for The Roost in regards to the quest going on rn and once that brushes over he can be like "hey do you want more work [unveils evil secrets under coat] go deliver this info for me 8)"
