UNROLLS LONG LIST OF FEELINGS

Claude's first impression of Baiken is that she's someone who's fun to flirt with and tease; she's easy to get a rise out of but if she's in the mood, she'll just as easily play along. She's reliable in combat, and for some reason she agrees to being dragged into his shenanigans of the day.

That said, now he has a better understanding of her, Claude knows Baiken is a deeply traumatised person carrying around a lot of baggage. He's seen it before in people like Dimitri, who in his own world he was completely unable to help and who died a pointless death looking for revenge. He's also seen it in people like Cyril, who lost everything to conflict at a young age. That makes him want to do his best for Baiken when so far life has thrown her such a shitty deal. He wants to show her she has a friend she can rely on, and that it's still possible to enjoy life even after all that suffering.

it's slow going but he feels like he's getting through to her a little, no matter how much she grouches and gripes at him!! also yeah..... there is definitely ust, i can't wait for her to figure out flayn and lorenz are jealous of her LMAO
