she literally called shadow "the edgy nudist" to amy the other day, to start with

Della does think Shadow's a bit weird (and considering her life, that's saying something!) but in a good way. She sees him as a project - someone to help, befriend, and mess with. She is drawn to those "I work alone" types, although she can be a little oblivious to how seriously they mean it. She does want to learn more about Shadow, and have him open up way more - but she also has to admit, getting him riled up and teasing him is a lot of fun too.

We're friends now, Shadow. Forever. Accept it.

Gosh, she has her work cut out for her. He barely opens up to his own team mates and those are his bestest of friends.

As with most kids, Della feels a need to both protect and cheer him on. But Della's not a perfect parent, and she doesn't realize her wants don't... really line up with Tsuna's. It comes from a place of well-meaning, but she fully believes he just needs more confidence in himself and the best way to do that is to LOUDLY KEEP PUSHING HIM INTO DANGEROUS SITUATIONS. That way he can find his full potential and be the awesome kid she knows he can be!

It's a weird thing, being taught by someone she sees as a kid, even though she knows on every level, Gareth is not a kid. So she has to suppress every urge to mother and coddle Gareth. She likes Gareth so much - she's nice, and fun, and encouraging! They have a good time together! She wants to learn even more baking tips and secrets! But also wants to encourage Gareth right back to be the best knight she can be!
