From where Edelgard sits, she's...not a fan. She was able to put their conflict aside in the immediate aftermath of the attack, but afterwards when she's had more time to reflect and recover she'll come to the conclusion that Darin is a dangerously naïve, reckless and foolhardy glory-hound. It's a dangerous cocktail in someone so desperate to be seen as a "hero", especially when they are, at least from what Edelgard has seen and heard, not able to live up to the ideals they spout.

She also wonders at Darin's motivations for wanting so talk the dragon down. It seems like he wanted to save the dragon not because it was right to do so, but because he wanted to be seen as heroic. That the appearance of heroism is more important to him than actually trying to do what's right or necessary (which in Edelgard's mind was killing the dragon before it reached Celliwig). That he appears to her to be willing to risk the lives of others just so he can look good to others makes her severely doubt his intentions. There may be deeper issues at play; in fact there almost certainly are, some anxieties or insecurities that cause him to act so recklessly, since these behaviours don't spring from nowhere (she knows a thing or two about that). But her understanding only goes so far in the face of such destruction she believes could have been prevented if it weren't for Darin's insistence on trying to be seen as a hero.

In short, she doubts his motivations, she doubts his intentions, she doubts him, and has most certainly not let him off the hook for his actions, but also recognizes she doesn't have the authority to do anything about it here. In the future, keeping Darin away from further problems as much as possible will be something Edelgard will pay a great deal of attention to, as in her estimation, he does more harm than good. Apart from that, she'd rather just avoid him if she can.

Of course, the benefit of RP is ensuring that's not easy for her to do. ^_^
