Oh yeah, things got better. I got adopted by the town’s blacksmith. Taught me everything I know. He was the only one who believed I was a victim and not the root cause of everything and it didn’t matter what I looked like, I deserved someone.

It wasn’t always roses and sunshine. I had to work to become seen as someone trustworthy and it took everything I had just to get allowed into the smith’s guild.
