Species: Bone Dragon
Why did you pick this familiar for your character?: A memorable boss fight in Suikoden 2 was the Bone Dragon. His familiar is a homage to that thing. Outside of the Bone Dragon Yuber is depicted as having a connection to the dead and is able to command skeleton legions and apparently communicate with spirits.
Special features: Glowing ember eyes and is the size of a wolf.
How do they communicate?: She can communicate out loud in a voice that sounds like a dry, whispering hiss. Usually she only talks to Yuber but she will talk to others when she has to.
Personality: The bone dragon is a generally laid back and pragmatic creature with a strong mother hen instinct. If she had the time she'd be rounding up and feeding stray kittens.
Relationship with your character: She is very attached to Yuber and is usually following him around. She'd rather go out and do her own thing but her bonded wizard keeps trying to fight people to the death, doesn't understand sleep schedules and won't stop eating plastic. Keeping him alive and out of trouble is a full time job. She will keep her distance enough for him to make his own mistakes and learn from them but has to intervene to prevent him from getting himself killed.
The FAQ says familiars have "shit to do" when not attending their bonded character. What does your familiar do in its off hours?: As noted above she is usually attending Yuber. Since he is slowly getting better at this "being mortal" thing she goes off more and more often but it's still rare for them to be apart compared to other wizards and familiars. When on her own she is stretching her wings. She can be seen flying in loops around New Camelot.
Does, or would, your familiar get along with other familiars?: She gets along fine with other familiars! She would like to talk other familiars about how they deal with wizards who are former immortals.

Magic Types: Kinetic (primary), Death (secondary). Was Healing primary when he arrived.
Why did you pick these types for your character?: Kinetic and death most closely represent his canonical abilities. I started with Healing because it was amusing to imagine him as a healer but in practice he just didn't use his magic much.
How does your character cast their magic? Kinetic magic is mostly focused on moving his own body so he can rapidly teleport around a battlefield or move with ridiculous speed. Sometimes there is a whoosh of black smoke when he teleports.

Death magic he performs with hand gestures. Raising skeletons involves clutching his fist low to the earth to draw bones to himself.
How does your character feel about their magic?: Bad.

He prefers his current spell schools over his old ones but he is capable of much, much less now than he was back home. Losing his canon powers frustrates him and being an immortal means he can be slow to get over these things. Chaos is always adapting but when you are used to thinking in terms of centuries, a few month had might as well be a few days.
How skilled is your character with their magic? Extremely skilled and he has practiced a lot. He uses Kinetic magic whenever he fights and he lives at Loch Manor where he uses Death magic very often to commune with and exorcise spirits.

I don't want to say he is at full mastery with Kinetic just yet since he started with Healing but he is getting there.
Has your character learned any spells from Recipes, and do they use them?: He has learned Familiar Symbiosis but hasn't had to use it yet.

What magic and familiar would your character choose for themselves?: Yuber would rather have his full power and no familiar. Everyone please play a tune on a tiny violin for him!
