I. Arrival

A. (Soaking) [ The cold water is a shock when Ryne lands in it. She would’ve thought she was dreaming if it didn’t chill her down to her bones. She manages to swim to the surface, coughing loudly and disoriented. The Lady frightens her at first, but she doesn’t resist since she doesn’t really have the strength too. Thankfully she’s here to help, and Ryne’s on her way after that encounter.

She’s swimming to the shore when one of the turtles scoop her up onto its back. It spooks her, but it only takes a moment to realize it’s here to help. Ryne holds on tight, and if she weren’t so disoriented and cold, it might actually be fun. But alas, she really can’t enjoy herself like this.

Her eyes dart around as she tries to take in the scene around her, and they land on someone nearby in the water. She tries to get the turtle to slow down to help them, holding out her hands toward you. ]

Take my hands!

[ Or perhaps you meet her on the shore. Thanks to the turtle, Ryne makes it to safety, feet on solid ground at last. The cold has already exhausted her, so she makes sure to thank the creature for the lift. She rubs her arms as she looks around, and naturally she’s drawn to the staircase. She’d gawk in awe if her lips weren’t trembling so much. ]

Wh-What is this place…?

[ She takes in a deep breath before taking a step forward toward the cliffs. Maybe you could join her? ]

B. (Caravan) [ Ryne’s feeling a lot better once she’s warmed up with a coat and on her way with the carriage, but she’s almost just as confused as before. How did she end up in this mysterious world? Where is Gaia? She was so focused on making sure she was safe before that she didn’t consider these things until now. But even still, she doesn’t have all the answers she needs even with the short explanation they were given.

She’s been given a helpful resource though: the smartphone. She’s never had one, but they remind her of the tomestones from back home for the look alone. But also it doesn’t take her long to learn as she’s always been a quick learner.

So soon enough, Ryne sends out a message: ]

Hello? My name is Ryne and I just arrived here. I apologize for the stiffness of this message, but I’ve never done anything like this before. I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about this place. It’s my first time traveling to another world, and I’m not sure what to think. I feel like I should be home instead...

III. Mirror, Mirror (Brave Soul)

[ It’s hard for her to ignore a call to action, so Ryne heads out when she receives the message. She decides to explore the caverns, daggers ready on her hips. It doesn’t take long until the illusion starts to form. She readies herself, about to draw her weapons, but then what she sees makes her stop. Her eyes grow wide in horror as a familiar figure stands before her and blocks her path ahead. ]

N-No… not again... [ But she takes a deep breath to calm herself and draws her blades. ] You won’t stand in my way!

[ It may be hard to take on her own, though, so maybe lend a hand…? ]
