It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Character Name: Riza Hawkeye
Canon: Fullmetal Alchemist
Info: Described most often as "the scary lieutenant," Riza is very good at being just that — although a more accurate description of her once was a "cold exterior, but a gentle heart". A woman who only ever wanted to see happiness for future generations, she would be burdened with her father's life's work placed upon her (literally). When it was used for mass devastation, she determined to never let it happen again alongside the person who inflicted the damage.

Sometimes described as a perfect soldier by peers, Riza is a no-nonsense and strict individual. Never one to shirk responsibility or work it's rare to find her in more informal moments. However, when comfortable with someone or not at work, she has shown to be someone with a dry sense of humor and a deadpan teaser. At heart, she really is a kind and gentle woman.

Desired CR: Saying anything would be too easy so here we go!:

Workplace(?): Riza will be doing quests eventually, but I'd like to find her some place to work! Someone who might be in need or who could lead her to a work environment would be nice. While I lean towards doing things with plants for purely selfish reasons, she'd also make a good secretary for anyone looking.
Friends: Given she's spent most of her time in the military she's not really had much time for a personal life. I'd like to see friends who are both in the military or not. People with strong work ethics or pride to specific duties are ones to lean into easily. But as someone who didn't exactly want the life she has now, it'd be nice to give her friends who have no association with military or military-esque backgrounds as well (since she won't be in the military in Avalon, it'd be nice to find balance).
Enemies: While she's overall very level-headed and calm, she does have a protective streak. Honestly, give me a good action thread and we can figure out how they're enemies —
Romance: This one's always tricky! I'd love for Riza to find something of the sort — any gender being fine. Either just casual flirting and rolling of eyes or something more long-term is okay too! In the latter, it'd probably be very slowburn just because of how/who she is. But honestly just flirt with her for fun and it'll be a great time really.
Younger Characters: She has a soft spot for children and animals. Riza's always fun since despite age she is respectful to them and doesn't hide the messiness of life (even if she doesn't want to leave children behind). Be it an "older sister" vibe or just someone older to talk to please consider her. Also help her relax, throw some snowballs at her this winter season.

Known Plans: Riza and myself are still new so I don't have too much planned, just general ideas. I'm always happy to plot and discuss new things!

Playing Riza in her first few days in a game through my interpretation is always tricky. She's spent half of a decade determined to right the sins she commited. I try to think of how being in a new world where she can't and may not be able to affects her. Especially without Roy, since regardless of anything she stakes a lot of her role in the world in her position against him. It's not easy. She's pretty much been compartmentalizing and pushing forward because she has to live to return.

So at least in her present stay in Camelot, Riza hasn't really sat still. She's kept an eye on the Network. Taken long walks to get used to the area. Helped out when people were snowed in, etc. Eventually, this will come back to bite her in the butt since she's also the kind of person known to stay awake three days when she thinks something is her fault.

I'd like for her to do one of the quests! I was leaning towards the decorating one, so it could be fun to have things like a brainstorming thread with someone? She also has the totem to Elphame! I've not put much thought into what she'll do there, but I'm thinking of the mural prompt or something in the island of dreams.

One thing I'd like to play with coming up is the fact that she hasn't... Really tried to touch or figure out her magic. I've played a little that she has empathy to plants currently but she's resolutely ignoring it. She also doesn't really talk to her familiar cause she's not interested in a fire bird (sorry little guy). I'd love for some trouble to come of either of these! Either in accidental light magic or the phoenix deciding to be Helpful in a thread (spontaneously catching fire, teleporting, picking someone up, i don't know but let's go).

Anyone who would possibly want to form closer bonds, if eventually, and recoginize she's being Dumb or something. Maybe she'll get sick towards the end of the month, who knows.

Also my headcanon birthday for her is this month, so lamenting that please

Other: I always feel like I'm not offering anything/much in these sort of things, ahaha. I really am happy for all kinds of things and excited to be here and playing with everyone! You can pretty much throw anything at me and I will probably say yes to it. Please never feel like you can't reach out! I've got a goldfish brain, but I'm always around eager to do anything.

Hello! I'd like to offer Tsumugi up for friendship, and potentially the workplace option if you think Aerith's flower shop might be a good fit for her!

He comes from a fairly normal canon (just ignore the cursed dolls), so he could be a breath of fresh air with his lack of military background. But they could perhaps find some common ground in their work ethics? He's an actor who once ran away from acting and has since resolved to put his entire heart and soul into theater and, as such, is pretty consistently thinking about acting. But he also loves gardening, so plant friends? He could down the line help with green magic.

I do remember looking at Aerith's flower shop and then for whatever reasons chickening out of asking about it.

I think Tsumugi and Riza could definitely be fun! And she will... Need help with green magic eventually. More people to enjoy just plants/outdoor things and people who are passionate about things uwu She'll definitely enjoy his passion even if she doesn't necessarily much think about acting outside of espionage. A friend to eventually show up to any shows or something !!

Maybe they could meet via one of the quests this month? Since we both mentioned Avalon Crossing in our comments, I think that'd work nicely. But I was also looking at Potion Pukers, if you'd prefer that!

It'll be fun!! Thank you for offering it. LMAO, Try to convince Riza into the theater I dare you. It may work out, eventually!! Coax her by asking her to be a stage manager or something and then... give her a role cause someone gets sick or something. Profit (I kid, but also I don't). It's good to have gentle friendships of normal every day things! Especially eventually maybe coworkers? A mystery.

Avalon Crossing def works for meeting!! Maybe there's some kind of mini idea gathering outside or something and that's how they meet up? I'm just imagining some kind of arts and crafts table where people are shouting over each other ideas and pass the glue guns don't mind me.
