Chrome took an instant liking to Tsuna when he accepted her fighting as his mist during the ring battles. Despite what everyone else was telling him, he saw her and that meant a lot to Chrome. She's never been accepted by anyone other than Mukuro, and so it was a big deal for Tsuna to believe in her even though he didn't have a reason to.

She thinks very highly of him, calling him 'Boss' to express how much respect she has for the other. She admires Tsuna because he seems like an ordinary teenager yet he can be strong enough to protect his family from any threat. It inspires her to be stronger even when she's not sure she can be. She's loyal to him because of his consideration and trust. He's become a person that she's willing to fight for and protect.

For a while, she saw herself as an outsider, and she wasn't sure how she fit into Tsuna's family. However, their time in the Future Arc and even beyond continues to show her how much value Tsuna and the others see in her. She definitely wants to do all she can for them, too.
