Character Name: Emet-Selch
Canon: Final Fantasy 14 (MMO)
Info: Emet-Selch is the main antagonist of the Shadowbringers expansion. Known to most as an 'Ascian', he is considered a paragon amongst others of his kind, along with two others. His current guise, however, is that of the first emperor of the Garlean Empire - Solus zos Galvus. First impressions paint him as a grumpy, dour man who acts a lot older than he looks. But get to know him better and maybe you'll see that he cares more than he lets on.

Magics & Familiar: Alchemy / Death, Shadow Gwiber

Desired CR: Friends in general. He's still chugging along trying to make himself useful as a knight. He's currently helping out with Hijikata's ghost squad by providing them with support.

Known Plans: Now that he's formed a bond with Hythlodaeus, his 'therapy' is going better. 'Therapy' being "if he starts thinking bad thoughts Hythlodaeus immediately distracts him. He's growing a lot more like his old self before all of the Ascian nonsense.

I'm trying to think of some more potions for Emet to create and sell in his shop as well as some kind of sinister plan to suggest on the questboard (the Knight-only quest). He isn't doing it for the reward so he may pass it on to whoever comes with him if they want it badly. Apart from this, I'll try and tag out a bit more rather than make my own posts but can't promise anything since it's been one long mental struggle. If anyone wanted to discuss the resolution of some really old threads and start fresh, please let me know.

Other: Sorry I've been far slower than usual at tags. Attention span slipping a lot lately and no idea how to fix it. Just doing my best.

Feels as inexorable as the Titanic at this point, lol. Thankfully Emet has his canon update to the end of EW so he's not as hostile as he could have been. He'll probably come around eventually, very grudgingly.

I'm following your lead as to when she actually catches on to the whole "hey it's Emet-Selch not just some Garlean" deal, and that can be justified as long as possible by Venat treading very very carefully around potentially spinning off a new timeline and wrecking everything. But someday, their talk will come!

It's likely Irhya may mention him but I'll see how their interactions go and where or if it can come out naturally!
