I always pictured Luke as someone everyone thought would enjoy sweet things, and would shove pie and things like that his way, and he's too nice (and too much of a desert farm boy) to say no, but he absolutely hates them. The only sweet thing he likes enough to call his favorite is chocolate (Han would totally smuggle in hot chocolate just for him).
