So... What did you even get up to back at your home?

Nothin' different from here. Got told to go places, investigate things and put 'em down.

What did you do for a living before you came here?

Was in the military for a while, then... somethin' we call National Defence.

( that's a pretty good summary. who needs details, right? )

I thought you carried yourself like a soldier. Do you miss it?

[She imagines answers on that one will vary depending on the individual. Not everyone joins the military because they're passionate about serving.]

No.

( given the immediate snap of that answer, a desire to defend her country was not on the list of reasons for joining, and even if it was, that would have been quickly quashed by the reality of her work. )

Get better pay and don't have to share sleepin' quarters now.

( they're not even close to the top five reasons she's glad to have moved on, but they're ones people can usually understand. ones people don't question. )

( because, honestly, no. she's just been saving money from odd jobs and quests. )

Just curious. I'm not in a position to give someone a job, myself, but if you'd like help narrowing down interests and finding something you're suited for, I would happily lend a hand. I've found it helps to keep busy here.
