It's not a royalty title. It could mean from the Buddhist monks. It means the ultimate corrupter. The worst of the worst. Someone who would lead others astray rather than transcend worldly desires.

Do you know how you become the Demon King where I'm from?

Think about it like this, knowing that your contempt for humans and humiliation at bringing one amusement only further amuses me. So even if I wasn't born human, there's no way I'd reveal that and give up this game when you're making it this easy. No Demon King would.
