I love our CR?!?!

I'm not familiar with his canon at all, only with my vague knowledge of Sengoku era history from the dredges of memory when i was a Japanese history nerd as a teen lol, so this has been super fun for me revisiting that interest again vicariously through threading with Nobunaga!

I can tell how much you love this character and how invested you are in capturing his complex energy, and receiving such long thoughtful tags from you was so touching!! I am also rather thorough and often force myself to dial it back and parse it down, so it's been like personally validating writing with you at length in both our threads! ; ω ;

Zuko is fascinated by him and they have so much to discuss about their worlds, about war, philosophy, plus whatever dumb shit comes up lol... Cuz Zuko's picked up some dumb shit interests too. They can marvel at the modern world together hahaha. I feel like they have a weird and endearing, unexpectedly kindred dynamic that's sleeping and I can already tell it's gonna blossom into some significant CR, hehehe, Zuko needs a confidant about being a prince! And a fucking adult in his life apart from Iroh, god, lol. Nobunaga can be like the new cool silly young uncle instead HAHA. Very much looking forward to this relationship's development~

As for Nobunaga and Miwako, my heart ; A ; ♥ equally thrilled on that front! I don't even know what to expect but I'm loving all of it?!

And oh gosh, I am forever walking a tight-rope I think between Oda's "Bwahahah I will just destroy everything in my path /ELMO FIRE BACKGROUND" and his slightly less idiotic actually sort of intelligent but less explosive side... and it just doesn't often show because he's a rampaging psycho! SO I was so pleased Zuko brought it out so well and I WAS REALLY WORRIED I WOULD OVERWHELM YOU /sob sob / I'm so glad!!!! I was like "THE CR I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED!"

And yesssssssss New cool silly Uncle, he will be THRILLED. And he also needs a prince-ish character to bond with, because straight up he has so many issues about the rigid caste system and being born a Lord and having to deal with Kill or Be Killed by family asldkjaslkdj. So yes. The closest he has in canon is Ieyasu *and that's a mess too* OTL

AND MIWAKO OMGOSH I screamed out loud when I saw the manga page with the Magic Medicine because he *straight up* called konpeito a miracle cure for what ailed Japan once and said it makes wishes come true (he's so fucking extra OTL) so he is just "THIS IS MY LONG LOST GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER AND I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR HER CONTINUED HAPPINESS \o/" and they clearly just need to terrify Camelot with their exuberance. At least until someone takes away his candy again because he's a child who has never had infinite candy as even an option before XD But then he will copy Ikemen Sengoku, and they can go sneak it back together like children getting cake out of those cake wrappers that are impossible to do silently so Moms always know when the kids are getting into it. /nod nod!!

I just about cracked up laughing like. Zuko becomes buddies with Oda Nobunaga. Of course he would?!?!! I haven't been this amused since Zuko became buddies with the fucking mafia rofl honorary Katekyo Hitman Reborn! cast member now, hello but it makes so much sense, it really does, and I can't tell you enough how stoked I am for this CR even though I don't know Ikemen Sengoku?! The way you write Nobunaga, I can feel his emotions as a reader!!

I can just tell though that Zuko and Nobunaga are about to get really close?? Zuko has about six months of Prisma CRAU, so he's been "away" from Avatarland since last August or so, and so he's done a lot of growing as a character in that time, which is great cuz it makes him a little more open... ...and he's mostly been hanging out with the casts of Ouran High School Host Club and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! rofl so he's also a little uh goofier than if he were pulled straight from canon, which will surely be fun to play off Nobunaga now. He's desensitized to silly antics after living with Tamaki and the Hitachiin twins for half a year and enduring their never-ending decorating battle when they had disposable income for such a war and Tamaki's over-the-top obsession with Arizona tea and Doritos (he hates Arizona, as he told Nobunaga IC, but he's ok with Doritos lmaooo)... He likes movies and making model warships and is fascinated learning about his friends' worlds. He is becoming like a normal-ish teenager slowly but surely but not really at all ahahah. But more than he'd been before, at least! He can def deal with Nobunaga's weirdness by this point because he's been flailing all this time, himself. Hikaru's boyfriend Taichi recently made Zuko sit down and watch a gay porn with him for moral support to study before Taichi lost his virginity, like. Zuko's in the thick of the antics club now, rofl.

that's so funny about the Magic Medicine?!?!! I honestly just assumed you tagged Miwako because you were a Paradise Kiss fan who knew she had konpeito as "Magic Medicine," once I saw his username. But their CR seems so promising too ; ω ; i'm in love with them
