Toshirou Hijikata | Gintama | mayoninofukucho

I've had Hijikata here since the start of the year, and I love the world of Avalon so much... there's so much to do every month, and everything is packed with so many cute/quirky little details! Everybody has been so kind and easy-going too; I'm really enjoying all of his CR.

I realised that I kind of struggle to find the right time frame for my threads, so if I've dragged your character on a long-ass multi-day endeavour and it's too much please never hesitate to just time-skip ahead to where you'd like them to be!! Likewise if I've speedily wrapped up a thread rest assured that I still enjoyed it (I had fun with all the threads I've played here so far), I just sometimes hypercorrect to avoid the aforementioned meandering! I'm trying to improve on that front. 💪

I’m sorry I’ve been so slow lately! I love their threads, and unfortunately Gokudera has been kind of... down since his CRAU update. I’d be soooo down for more threads with Hijikata under pretty much any circumstances. I don’t know much about Gintama, but reading your tags makes me want to watch just for him XD

No worries at all!! I'm kind of backlogged myself at the moment, ahaha. I really enjoy our guys' CR too; it's an interesting dynamic! I saw Gokudera's CRAU update network post in passing, but never managed to tag in... however as a fellow CRAU Hijikata will sympathise, so don't hesitate to have Gokudera bring it up to him when they next meet! He'll take even the more outlandish stuff in stride, and in the worst case they can just be sullen and smoke together.

Also I likewise read up on Reborn a little because Gokudera made me curious, and both series have a mix of action and comedic elements in common, so they may be an overlap in target audiences.

Wanted to drop by and say that I really do enjoy threading with you! I'm somewhat canon familiar with Gintama and I like how you're playing him! I love how he's protective over Ken and I hope that we can thread some more!

Aw, thank you! Yeah, it's been a while since these two hung out; Hijikata should get himself updated on how Ken's been faring! I'll keep my eyes open for the event prompts next week... or anything else, really. Hijikata thinks Ken is a capable kid, but he's still a kid, so he does want to look out for him to some degree.

I love the friendship these two have- it's just precious how much they respect and look out for each other, and I'm looking forward to seeing where things go for them going forward.

I can only return the sentiment on both counts!! Playing with you is so fun and easy-going, I'm really enjoying it... and Mukuro is such a wonderful friend to Hijikata! I'm happy they got to know each other early on. Who could have known they'd be so supportive towards each other? She accepts his mayonnaise bullshit (even if she doesn't understand it), he gives her pep talks (even if he has hardly an idea how bad her self-esteem truly is); they're buddies!!

I love what I've seen of Hijikata and his silly Mayorin fetish. I hope he and Emet can continue to have strange adventures together!

Aw, cheers! I really enjoy playing with Emet too! At first I kind of thought "He seems really tired, I shouldn't subject him to Hijikata's bullshit", but then I did it anyway, and Emet's been such a good influence on Hijikata simply by being a voice of reason.

Also I saw Emet's shop opening post a while back but ended up getting swamped by work, so when Hijikata next sees him he'll congratulate him belatedly (and maybe offer supplies - he gets around a lot farming crystals and slaying monsters and stuff, he can bring all sorts of potential jewelry and potion ingredients back home).

Him being tired is absolutely why Hijikata should bother him. :') It never stopped his other friends from doing so. (And he's glad that at least SOMEONE around here listens to his advice.)

Emet will really appreciate the crystals and monster bits! He'll have to work out a way to compensate Hijikata somehow.
